Dr. Ryan Ferguson

Dr. Ryan Ferguson graduated with honours from the University of Detroit Mercy. He is board certified in both Canada and the United States, where he worked at Detroit Receiving Hospital for two years. Among the many continuing education seminars he attends, he has also trained with the Las Vegas Institute for Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Ferguson is certified in implant placement and restoration and has experience in full mouth rehabilitation and neuromuscular disorders. He is also a trained member of the International Academy of Orthodontics, and a certified Invisalign provider and treats a number of orthodontic conditions. He has served as the board secretary and treasure for the Muskoa-Simcoe Dental Society.

Ryan, as he is known by his patients, understands that everyone’s dental needs varies. This is why he focuses on individuals and what is best for them in their current situation.  His favorite aspect of dentistry is how it can dramatically change a person’s self-esteem and confidence, leading to a new outlook on life.  Ryan is a self-proclaimed “foodie” and when he isn’t working to improve his patient’s smiles, he enjoys cooking, traveling, playing squash and having fun with his family and friends.

Dr. Dean Staffuert

Dr. Dean Stauffert graduated from the University of Toronto and has been practicing in the Barrie area for over 30 years. His family’s background in dentistry has provided him with the unique opportunity to be involved in the profession from a young age. Dentistry has provided Dean with both the privilege and pleasure to help people with their health, via their dental care needs. He has been a long standing member with the Ontario Dental Association throughout his career. He enjoys sharing his trademark sense of humor and gentle nature with his patients and team members on a daily basis. When he is not trying to make his patients laugh, he enjoys taking his motorcycle out for a ride, or reading about health and wellness.

Dr. Samuel Caldwell

Dr. Samuel Caldwell graduated from the University of Windsor with an honours BSc, then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, including rotations at Detroit Receiving Hospital. For the next three years, he served as a senior Dental Service Provider and Clinic Manager in Chattanooga Tennessee before getting his board certification in Canada and moving back home to Ontario in the summer 2022. Originally from Aurora, he is joining his family here to make Barrie his home. Sam is consistently expanding his skills through continuing education, including training and experience in dental implant placement and implant restorative surgery. He is also a certified Invisalign Provider and has extensive experience with denture installation and repairs. He looks forward to serving the Barrie community and developing strong relationships with patients through personalized dental care. Sam is also excited to become involved in the Barrie community and rekindle his Canadian heritage. Outside of the office you will find him hiking, mountain biking, playing pickelball or spending time on the lake.

Dr. David Goldenberg

David completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Toronto after acquiring a Bachelor’s of Science with Honours Specialization in Kinesiology at Western University.
 
He is known for his compassionate nature and gentle hand. David is committed to providing comfortable and comprehensive dentistry.
 
In his personal life, David can be found outdoors and active. He is enthusiastic about health and nutrition and enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Kelly

Team Leader (Certified Dental Assistant Level II)

Kelly is our Team Leader here at Ferguson Family Dental Care and helps us all have a positive day! She greets every patient with her dazzling smile. Kelly graduated in 2007 from CDI College as a Level 2 intra-oral assistant. Since graduating, she has had the opportunity to follow the path of dental administration, which she loves. She joined the Ferguson Team in 2007 as a student, and then became our indispensable permanent team member in 2009. Originally from Montreal, Kelly moved to Barrie in 2001 with her husband and beautiful daughter, they love calling Barrie home. Kelly and her family enjoy exploring and relaxing in the surrounding areas in their trailer. With her background in dental assisting and her thorough dental knowledge, she can answer any questions a patient may have about their treatment.

Deb

Health Care Facilitator

Deb is the newest addition to our team. She loves people, loves to help people, and finds learning about people fascinating. She is passionate about health and wellness and is always reading a great book. Deb enjoys taking hikes, skating, cycling and running outdoors, with, or without her dogs. Spending time with family is a priority and Deb is always eager to take her camera on excursions.

Karen

Dental Assistant, CDA II

Karen has over 10 years of experience as a level 2 dental assistant, and has been a part of our team since the beginning. She enjoys her everyday patient interaction and looks forward to working as a team to help enhance our patient’s smiles. In her free time Karen enjoys spending time at her family farm and doing outdoor activities, such as riding four wheelers and snowmobiling, or taking her puppy Ruby on long walks.

Nicole is a Level II Dental Assistant and graduated from Durham College of Dental Assisting Program. She has been working in her career for 8 years and gained most of her experience and training in Alberta. When she is not working alongside our dentists to create healthy smiles, she enjoys making handmade jewelry, baking delicious treats and spending quality time with her daughter and husband

Marnie

Registered Dental Hygienist

Marnie has been in dental care for over 15 years and thrives at practicing dental hygienie. She graduated from Cambrian College with honours located in Sudbury, ON. Prior to dental hygiene she was a dental assistant for 3 years, where she graduated from Confederation College in Thunder Bay, On. She is a member in good standing of both the Canadian Dental Hygiene Association and the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario. She brings extensive experience and expertise in periodontal therapy to our team. She is very passionate about her career and enjoys giving her patients the personalized dental care they deserve. Throughout her career she has participated in ongoing continuing education courses to further her profession, and is the lead hygienist in our orthodontic care. She is a mother to two beautiful children, and she enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys running, cycling, swimming and working out at the gym. Usually in the summer months she is training for multiple triathlons.

Jacqueline

Registered Dental Hygienist & Clinical Coordinator

Jacqueline is a dental hygienist that graduated with honours with bachelor’s degree in science. She has practiced dental hygiene for 10 years and regularly volunteered her hygiene services for the Veterans Hospital and nursing home in her home town. She currently works as our receptionist and clinical coordinator and is a part time hygienist with our team. Her clinical background is a great benefit utilized when discussing dental treatment with patients. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, crafting, volunteering and trying to paint. Jacqueline has joined dental mission initiatives that provided free care to those in need overseas. She believes a healthy smile is the key to a great smile.

Christina is a Registered Dental Hygienist that has been practicing in the field for over 20 years.  She graduated from St. Clair College, located in Windsor, Ontario, with honours in 2001. She has a vast knowledge of dental experience and provides optimal dental care to all her patients. She loves to see the progress and improvement throughout dental treatments, and finds importance in building relationships and trust with her patients. She was born and raised in Windsor, Ontario, and relocated to Barrie in 2012 with her family. She loves to travel, and enjoys watching sports, reading, spending time at her cottage and good food!

Stephanie graduated from Georgian College in 2013 for Dental Hygiene. She enjoys working with people of all ages and providng gentle and thorough care. She aims to make every dental visit an enjoyable one! One of the most fullfilling aspects of her career is being able to make meaningful connections with her patients, and educating them on how to improve their oral health. In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys staying active through exercise, cycling, and hiking with her dogs Lola and Ollie.

Brittany

Clinical Coordinator

Brittany joined our team originally in 2019. Growing up she always wanted to be in the dental field. 

She has a strong passion for helping others, getting to know others and has a passion for health and wellness.  Brittany started her dental experience in high school during her co-op placements in 2010 and carried it through.

Brittany grew up in Barrie, Ontario and currently lives in essa with her family. Outside of work she spends all her time with her family, she's a mom of 2 boys and she is often finding new experiences for them or searching new recipes to cook or home renovation projects.
